The Hastings Harbour Arm has a long history as a protection from the erosive power of Channel waters. Its current state is of a half barrier between the sea and the fishing beach. This summer (2018) work is being done to build the arm up and the project featuring a group of contemporary local artists, documents, explores and uncovers before, during and after the coastal defences have altered this notable fixture in Hastings Old Town.
